Please, the date does not mean what it should mean. Otherwise nobody can explain the fact that this date can go backwards. For TSC, it went back from May 24 to April 10.
The processing date listed is the received date of the oldest case that they have not adjudicated or pre-adjudicated yet (maybe due to some problem). It does not mean that cases filed after April 2007 are or will not be adjudicated.

Napolitano is a strong proponent of Immigration reform and it is now believed that she has been brought to this position to spearhead the immigration reform in the Obama Administration.

Please let me know if anyone/your friend has port PD using receipt#. Logically it should be possible, as USCIS should pull everything from DB using receipt#. The question is has anyone successfully done this?

I got my PCC in San Francisco Indian Consulate last year assuming that I might get the appointment. but never happened until now. I am not sure that is still valid PCC. I might have to go to India and then apply for a new one from the local police station.

This is what I did, I just called and told them I need to do FP, can you please schedule it for me?, and surprisingly without any resistance they just scheduled my finger prints for First week of March! (yesterday I received FP notice,scheduled for fist week of March 2009).
I do not think without valid FP your case will pass their , "ready to approve" filter criteria.
so get your FP done.

Why do u need them for gc ? Your 485 is already pending.

Can you not reply anonymously? If you couldn't, if you respond, I don't think they would put your existing application in jeopardy if you respond truthfully. You certainly have a good reason to move and they seem to already know that.
If you are worried, why don't you wait until your H1's approved and then respond? Its never too late to report these scumbags and you would be doing a service to others who might fall trap.
If you decide to not report, I totally understand. It is fair to feel queasy with anything related to immigration here.
As letter has been addressed to me, I cannot be anonymous.
They have given three days duration for reply so waiting till H1 transfer is not option either.

its not mandatory to work while on EAD but did you do a job on EAD at any point of time to get out of H1 status?

I got laid-off on Monday I was on H1-b. The employer has notified USICS to withdraw the H1-B. But will not be revoking any GC related stuff. Was on H1-b Laid off 485 pending 180days+ have EAD :(

Anything you will take for your H1 stamping + documents to prove that she is your wife. Her H4 status depends on your H1 status, your relationship and your ability to support her.

There we go. The Senator yesterday introduced S.1225 for the illegal immigration reform part of his own comprehensive immigration reform scheme under the name of Immigrant Accountability Act of 2007. Probably more immigration reforms bills may be introduced by other legislators before and during the Comprehensive Immigration Reform debate in the Senate next month. As we summarized on 04/22/2007, there have been developing compromises along the lines of key issues which we highlighted in the posting and media start predicting that because of these compromises, the CIR may have a better chance to pass this year than last year.
Well, we are only inches away from the door steps of May 2007. After all, we should just focus on the upcoming CIR process rather than these piecemeal legislative bills.
actually there can be no more disappointing news for us, as we sitting at the rock bottom , at the worst things could stay as they are if not improved.

it does not matter any more how many bills are going to tabled, because ultimately on CIR will have any chance if any for a debate.

If you can get your hands on photocopies of Labor certificate, that would be awesome. Otherwise, make sure you at least have the following -
1. Experience letter (with last day of attendance)
2. I140 receipt
3. I485 receipt
4. Paystubs for 6 months of employment post I1485 receive date
You are good to go from there.
