All my checks encashed yesterday. Though my present residence is in TX and I-140 approved by NSC in 2006, still my case didn't transfered to TSC. I'm July 02 filer.

It may be better if you refile it now (before Aug 17). My lawyer made me refile...just because there is no receipt yet. He says by doing so you don't lose anything. If your first application is in the system at the time of opening second, it will be returned. It is very unlikely that they will cash second check. Fedex confirmation only tells that 'something' was delivered. It does not tell what was inside...

I'm very glad to hear the news. Let us see when my checks are going to be cashed. By the way, was your 485 packet signed by F.HEINAUER @NSC on July 16th?
I did called NSC IO yesterday and she said that my packet must have been in caught up in the front log.
Looks like all our 485 packets have been xfered to TSC from NSC. Hence SRCXXXXXXXXX

Are folks on this thread suggesting we contact (communicate our plans to !!!) numbersusa? They are not going to listen to us, I can guarantee you that --- even if we tone down our demands! They might use our plans to develop a more effective strategy for themselves; they hate us from the bottom of their hearts. This is the most ridiculous and impractical thing I've heard in a while.

Opened an SR yesterday with USCIS for FP.

100% correct. I guess its human. If you did not file for 485 in Jul 07, people want to file when PD is not current. For people who filed and are waiting, want the backlog cleared. People who have GC are "worried" about getting citizenship :). People who just came in, are worried about they PERM/140 approvals.

GC is all about luck. They should cancel the entire GC process and make it a "lottery" as that is what it is.
I think the substituters were the smart ones (though a few of them were burned during the process). I guess, people like you and I choose to follow the safe route.

I am going to complete my 180 days by 1st week of Decemeber. The company I work for, is offering me a Project Manager position. My labor is filed for a programmer. I asked my lawyer and he told me that they sent a email to Florida State Workforce Agency to classify my new position and depending on the reply he tells me that I may or maynot port my labor.
Is anyone in the same boat? Is there any work around? I have been on H1 for 10 years now working for the same company (2 yrs as Contractor and 8 as employee), they have screwed me many times, I just don't want another disappointment. If this does not work, then I guess I have switch another company....

I understand some of your concerns of giving personal information, but just think about it, all you are giving is your Email Address and Phone number. You are not giving away Credit card, SSN and Bank Account numbers. Just think about it, Dont you guys already get junk emails and marketing calls. Are you guys not getting mails about Credit Card offers, Macys and Others. So Dont think too much guys. You always have the option of changing the phone number if things get worse. But I dont think that is gonna happen since most of our information are already out there. We will try to work out something with the Admins here to see if we can get a secured page. If not, let one of us take a responsibility of collecting personal information and host a webpage, I know, atleast , one of us can do it.

Let us shake the USCIS by taking some courageous step. Again, we are not here crossing borders, they invited us here. Every one of us deserve justice and respect. They cant treat us like slaves. They gotto keep up to their promises or else we will demand it.

I know, we already have a thread that has a link to the letter that is signed by all big companies in favor of increasing High-Skilled immigrants. Let us make them hear. Let us, all 70 K folks here, send individual letters to every body who,we think, will support us and then to send it to those, who already knows everything about their inefficiencies,but still falling deaf, on our earlier outcry. Let us prove that, we dont just sit out there crying. Let us show them who we really are. Stand for our Self-Respect guys.

You need to register on uscis.gov (case status online), you will need your receipt numbers (you can enter rect. nos. from I-140, 485, 765, h1 ext. etc). You will get an email as soon as your case has been approved/rfe/noid etc.
When you get an email due to any change and the text changes in your case status it is called Hard LUD, if nothing changes in the case but your file has been touched then it is called soft LUD.
There can be several reasons for soft lud.

It should be children born OUTSIDE of US not INSIDE!!!!
It is correct. We are talking about both kinds of kids. And saying that not having greencard affects the quality of life for the family.
